José

José “El Maestro”, lead guitarist, vocalist and founder, is a native of Madrid, Spain.  José started his musical education at the age of 10 in percussion, being lead drummer in a local Madrid band.  José studied music at Latus, a private academy in Madrid.  Later, as a teenager, he delved into guitar studies and in his twenties he was involved in liturgical music as a bass guitar player and vocalist.  It was when José came to Wisconsin some 20 years ago that he focused his talents on flamenco guitar and cante.  José was a bi-weekly featured guitarist at España Tapas for 2 years and also has played at Movida, La Perla, Hotel Madrid, Kasana Restaurant, Great Lake Distillery and many more locales in the Milwaukee area.  Currently, he performs with this group at Café Día y Noche on a monthly basis and at private parties.
